Melbourne Airport Transfers: Meeting Points

Airport Arrival - Your driver will be holding a 'Sunbus' sign with our logo of a Kangaroo with a yellow sun.

The driver will be waiting at the following meeting points:

International Terminal   Please proceed to the 'Meeting Point' situated in the arrivals hall where your driver will await you.
T1 Qantas and Jetstar Domestic Terminal   Your driver will be waiting at the 'Meeting Point' located near carousel #3 in the arrivals hall.
T3 Virgin Blue Domestic Terminal   Your driver will meet you at the 'Meeting Point' located at the bottom of the escalator in the arrivals hall.
Departures to International or Domestic Terminals   Passengers will be collected from the foyer of hotel and dropped at the kerbside directly outside designated airlines entrance.

Melbourne Airport Transfer Times and Schedules

Our Melbourne Airport Transfers service meets and services all incoming and outgoing flights between the hours of 4.00am and 12 midnight.

Airport Transfer Journey Times

Tullamarine Airport is situated around 20 kilometres from the Melbourne CBD and the journey will take approximately 30 - 35 minutes. Obviously this may vary during peak times. An additional 15 minutes should be allowed for transfers to and from St. Kilda and Carlton.

Booking Policy

Airport transfers must be prebooked at least 48 hours prior to travel. Booking is confirmed once payment has been authorised. An email will then be sent to you with confirmation details.

Group Bookings

There are no special discounts for group bookings. If you would like to book for a large group, please contact us for a private transfer rate.

Child Policy

Child rates apply to children aged between 4 and 14 years of age. Children 3 years of age and under travel free of charge if no seat required.  We do not supply child restraints, standard seat belts are fitted in all vehicles.

Delayed Flights

Whilst every effort will be made to connect with passengers from delayed flights, passengers must contact our office on arrival if they fail to locate their driver. Passengers will be accommodated on the next available airport transfer (Please note that wait times will vary).


If a passenger cannot be located at the designated airport meeting points, all close by areas are checked and every effort is made to locate them. It is very important that passengers do not move away from the meeting points as this makes it very difficult for the drivers to locate them. If a 'Fail to Load' occurs, our driver will pass the details back to the office. These details will then be passed on to the next available driver, however it is advisable for the passengers to call us. Sunbus Melbourne does not in any case reimburse taxi fares incurred as a result of failure to load. If the failure to load was a direct result of Sunbus Melbourne error, the fare paid will be refunded to the passenger.
